Implementation of Input - Outflow and GPS systems on supply ships and specification of specifications!


The Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, the Minister of Finance, the Deputy Minister of Transport and Networks and the Deputy Minister of Economy, Development and Tourism, determine the specifications and the requirements for the approval of maritime transport means of transport as waterborne logistic means by a Joint Ministerial Decision . This decision essentially implements the legislative framework of Law 4072/2012, which will contribute to the fight against fuel smuggling and the view of marine fuels.

In particular, as stated in the Joint Ministerial Decision, the purpose of this Decision is:

-Determining the procedures and specifications for the installation and operation of input-output monitoring systems for transported marine fuels from floating logistics, as well as the requirements for compliance, operation, recording and assurance of measurements.

-Determination of the requirements for the installation of a satellite positioning device (GPS) and the transmission of information from the logistics center to the Center in real time via a signal to be sent electronically to the Center.

It should be noted that, prior to commencing operations under the new conditions as set out in this JMD, all floating logistics and after all the required devices / appliances have been installed must be tested for proper operation of all systems, including the overall process Bunkering.
