The Ministerial Decision on requirements and methods for testing liquid petroleum products has been issued!


It is approved by the Joint Ministerial Decision of the Deputy Minister of Finance Mr. Aikaterini Papanassiou, the Minister of Economy and Development Mr. Dimos Papadimitriou and the Minister of the Environment Mr. George Stathakis, the decision of the Supreme Chemical Council on requirements and test methods for liquid petroleum products - fatty acid methyl esters as biofuels and as bioliquids.

The purpose of the Decision is to establish the specifications, other requirements and methods for controlling methyl esters of fatty acids (FAME), which are placed on the market and are intended to be used:

-fuel in diesel engines, (biofuel) at a concentration of 100% or in admixture with fossil-derived diesel according to the requirements of the ELOT EN 590 standard or,

-fuel in heating applications, (bioliquid), in a 100% concentration, or in combination with heating oil.
